Nice Editions is honored to collaborate with Tommy Kha, one of the most celebrated photographers working today. Kha's work has been exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, at institutions including, ICP, Aperture, Baxter St at the Camera Club of New York, SFMoMA, High Museum, Ogden, and the Addison Gallery of American Art. His photographs have been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and his acclaimed monograph Half, Full, Quarter was published by Aperture in 2023.

Tommy Kha invites members of the photographic community to participate in The Chain Letter Project, Volume 3, a collaborative artwork that builds on a format he has explored in previous iterations. Through a shared process of image-making and exchange, participants will contribute photographs that Kha will incorporate into an original collage-style tapestry.

Each participant will receive:

- 1 Disposable Camera

- 1 Development and 2K Scanning Credit

- Digital Prints From Their Roll

- A Creative Prompt (to guide their shooting)

- A Guaranteed Spot and Name-Credit of 1-2 Images in The Chain Letter Project, Vo. 3

These photographs will be incorporated into an original artwork by Tommy Kha, creating a collaborative project shaped by both the artist and the community. The completed work, composed entirely of chromogenic prints produced by Nice Film Club, will be presented at a public exhibition and opening reception in September at Nice Editions.

**The cost of participation is strictly to cover the materials and labor.

Rather than existing as a standalone submission, each participant's image will become part of an original artwork by Tommy Kha—one built through the gathering, layering, and integration of many voices. The result will be a collaborative piece that celebrates connection, demonstrating how a collection of distinct perspectives can be brought together to form something entirely new

Tommy Kha has emerged as one of the most celebrated photographers of his generation. Among his most notable honors are a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship, the Hayes Prize, the Next Step Award, recognition as a Foam Talent, and an NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship.

His work has been exhibited widely across the United States and internationally. Notable venues include MoMA PS1, Aperture, Baxter St at the Camera Club of New York, ICP, Blue Sky Gallery, Higher Pictures, Kunstverein Wolfsburg, Foley Gallery, and LMAK Gallery. His first solo museum exhibition opened at the Addison Gallery of American Art in 2025.

Kha's photographs have been featured in major publications including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Aperture. His acclaimed 2023 monograph, Half, Full, Quarter, published by Aperture, further established him as a leading voice in contemporary photography.
