Product Description
Part of a series of images of projections from various events in New York nightlife, this image captures the ephemeral beauty of a party wall in its short, fleeting glory. An attempt to preserve the magic seen by the eye will not always be perfect, but it will be impactful. The blue and gold lights create a prismatic texture that is at once coolly relaxing and invitingly chaotic.

Luminosity is the driving force of this print. The silver halide chemistry reacts beautifully to the projection light, rendering the cyan tones with an electric vibrancy that doesn't blow out. Simultaneously, the warm gold highlights retain a rich depth against the surrounding darkness. This detail relies on the continuous tone of analog printing to handle the gradient of light without banding. The glossy surface of the Crystal Archive paper amplifies the neon effect, giving the image a liquid, almost metallic finish.
Due to the hand-made nature of the printing process, minor color variations may occur.
Each order is prepared with the same attention as the work itself, carefully packed by our team to ensure safe arrival.

About
Asya Stepnova is a Russian-born, Brooklyn-raised writer and photographer. Drawn to neon, dreamscapes, vanity plates, and all that is unusual and surreal, she hopes to capture feeling using light and color. Through zine making, photography, and collage she depicts the beauty that is often overlooked. Her photographs and zines have been exhibited in galleries in New York, Bristol, and Paris. Asya uses writing and visual art as a means to connect with and make sense of the insanity and absurdity of the world.
“Taking photos is one of my favorite ways to be alone while simultaneously interacting with the world around me. I can step out or step in, depending on the image I want to capture.”
