Ilana Jade Roth is an image artist born, raised, and based in NYC. Ilana uses their body to explore questions of gender, patriarchy, and beauty, and the inherited social scripts that interfere with our truth and autonomy. Ilana creates street art and graffiti using their self-image, as well as nature photography, to grapple with how capitalism and social scripts shape bodies in public space. They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from SUNY Purchase College. In 2023, they self-published a photobook C’est Quelques Fleurs en Souvenir du Temps Passé, available at select art bookshops and labs in NYC and Mexico City. Their work was featured in Analog Cookbook, published by UNC Press in 2023.
