Product Description
A neon sign always has a story to tell. Its mere presence is a beckoning, an invitation that catches the eye. Drawn to finding that which is brightly lit within the cloak of night, Asya always pauses to bask in the beauty and mystery of the neon. These signs demand attention, but also depict something that exists in a dreamy beyond, a world of possibility behind a glittering door.

Halation is the star here. The silver halide chemistry captures the intense luminosity of the neon tubing, allowing the light to bleed naturally into the surrounding darkness without harsh clipping. The red and amber tones are rendered with a deep, punchy saturation that digital sensors often struggle to replicate. The continuous tone of the analog print ensures the glow radiates softly, preserving the atmospheric haze and the glossy texture of the window glass. The deep blacks provide a rich anchor, making the light feel physical and vibrant.
Due to the hand made nature of the printing process, minor color variations may occur.
Each order is prepared with the same attention as the work itself, carefully packed by our team to ensure safe arrival.

About
Asya Stepnova is a Russian-born, Brooklyn-raised writer and photographer. Drawn to neon, dreamscapes, vanity plates, and all that is unusual and surreal, she hopes to capture feeling using light and color. Through zine making, photography, and collage she depicts the beauty that is often overlooked. Her photographs and zines have been exhibited in galleries in New York, Bristol, and Paris. Asya uses writing and visual art as a means to connect with and make sense of the insanity and absurdity of the world.
“Taking photos is one of my favorite ways to be alone while simultaneously interacting with the world around me. I can step out or step in, depending on the image I want to capture.”
— Asya Stepnova
